Heirloom Southern Giant Curled Mustard Seeds Planting Instructions

For the best flavor, grow mustard during cool weather. Before planting, turn the soil under to a depth of 8 inches. Plant the seeds in well-worked soil 2 to 4 inches apart in rows 2 feet apart and cover with 1/4 inch of fine soil.

Firm lightly and water gently. The plants will do best with full sun, but will tolerate partial shade. Grow time is 40 to 65 days.

Mustard plants are ready for harvest when the foliage reaches 6 to 8 inches long, about 40 to 65 days after sowing.

Harvest just the lower leaves or the entire plant before the leaves become tough. Mustard will have the best flavor after a light frost.
